Long live fashion

✔ Compliant ✔ Free transport & reporting ✔ You stay in control

What if your surplus stock could still create value?

Surplus stock is part of doing business. Seasonal changes, returns, or full warehouses, it happens to everyone. But it’s a shame to waste good work, materials, and value. At ReShare, we help fashion brands give their surplus stock a fair and human-centered purpose.

Let’s get to know each other.

Always a responsible destination

This is how your surplus stock gets a second chance:

No dumping or blind reselling, but careful sorting and purposeful redistribution. Whatever type of inventory you have, there’s always a route that fits your brand and your goals. Together, we choose the best option:

  • ReShare Stores: sale in our circular stores with social impact

  • Emergency aid: sent quickly to places where clothing is most needed

  • Recycling: fibres get a second life in new products

  • Responsible resale: across borders when appropriate

  • Waste as a last resort

What we ask & what you get

We’re looking for surplus stock that fits our ReShare Stores: think of clothing, shoes, and accessories that are still wearable.
Our preference is to restore value, rather than simply passing stock along.

You can be sure your inventory ends up in the right place. We offer peace of mind, control, and transparency, so you can proudly celebrate “Long live fashion”, both internally and externally.

1. No hassle

We take care of transport, sorting, redistribution, and a report for your internal administration.

2. Transparency

We provide support for intake systems, processing, and annual reporting.

3. Compliance

From 19 July 2026, destroying unsold clothing and footwear will be prohibited (for medium-sized companies from 2030).

4. Tax benefits

ReShare is ANBI-registered (Public Benefit Organisation). Your donation may be tax-deductible, under certain conditions.

New jeans at the day shelter: dignity always fits

“A pair of jeans is always needed. For a birthday, a job interview, or simply to feel human again.” - Elize Bikker, team leader at De Sluis

Social is strong

ReShare is part of The Salvation Army and combines professional textile processing with a social mission.
We give clothing, people, and brands a new chance. By creating work, dignity, and opportunities for people who are distanced from the labour market, your surplus becomes a contribution to something greater, without compromising on professionalism or brand image.

More and more brands and municipalities are discovering that surplus stock isn’t a burden, but an opportunity:

1
What normally happens to surplus stock, and why choose ReShare?

Many retailers sell their surplus stock after clearance sales or outlet seasons for just a fraction of its value to resellers.
These often end up abroad, with no brand visibility and no compliance value.

At ReShare, you receive a similar symbolic compensation, but also much more:

  • Visible brand and social value (through local sales, emergency aid, and recycling)

  • Full reporting

  • A transparent final destination for your stock

For brands that prefer their items not to reappear on the Dutch market, we document this in a donation agreement.
That way, you retain full control over the destination and always choose the route that fits your brand.

2
How does ReShare help me comply with regulations?

UPV Textiles (NL, since 2023):
From 2025, 50% of all textiles sold must be prepared for reuse or recycling, including 20% for reuse, 10% within the Netherlands, and 25% fibre-to-fibre recycling.
An annual report is required before 1 August each year.

ESPR (EU):
From 19 July 2026, large companies will be prohibited from destroying unsold clothing and footwear
(medium-sized companies from 2030). Reporting obligations start in 2025.

At ReShare, we provide intake systems, processing, and compliance reports that can be directly included in your annual sustainability or ESG report.

3
What do I actually get when working with ReShare?
  • Free transport and full support from start to finish

  • Symbolic compensation for donations in certain cases, we’re happy to discuss this with you personally

  • A clear choice between reuse, emergency aid, or recycling

  • Reporting on CO₂ savings, quantities, and redistribution routes

  • Brand protection for sensitive items

4
Is it complicated to arrange?

No, it only takes 3 simple steps:

  1. Assess your surplus and get in touch

  2. We collect it for free

  3. You receive a report and compensation

5
What does my brand gain from this?
  • A positive image among customers, partners, and shareholders

  • A transparent story for annual reports and communications

  • A visible social contribution through ReShare Stores and emergency aid

6
Is a donation tax-deductible?

Yes. ReShare is ANBI-registered (Public Benefit Organisation), which offers tax advantages:

  • Sponsorship (with a return service, such as brand visibility) → fully deductible as a business expense.

  • For in-kind donations (such as clothing) exceeding €10,000 per year, an independent valuation report or a substantiated value (e.g. recent purchase invoice) is required from 2024 onwards.

7
Why take action now if destruction isn’t banned until 2026?

Because starting in 2025, you’ll already be required to report what happens to your unsold inventory.

The sooner you choose transparent and responsible redistribution, the stronger your annual report and brand story will be, and the lower your reputational risk.

8
Can I see how it works first, without obligation?

Yes. You can schedule a tour of our sorting centre in Deventer. (Please note, this page is only available in Dutch only.)
That way, you can see firsthand how your surplus stock gets a second chance.
